Your first day is about discovering the living art of Kurashiki City, with its preserved historical cityscapes and art-like traditional gourmet.

Departing from Kyoto Station, you arrive around midday in Kurashiki’s Bikan Historical Quarter, a townscape so exquisitely preserved it feels like a cinematic set.

For lunch, you will be able to eat Kurashiki’s beloved local specialty, Kaeshi‑zushi. Covered in delicate shredded egg, this unique dish reveals its charm in a single moment: when turned over, it reveals a generous arrangement of fresh seafood and seasonal vegetables wrapped like a gift in an elegant box.

In the afternoon, you will be guided by the head of the distinguished Hara family, a Kurashiki household of longstanding prestige. As you stroll through the Bikan Quarter and Kurashiki Ivy Square, he shares Kurashiki’s story from the Edo period to modern times, bringing the town’s heritage to life with rare intimacy.

A certified National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter (English) accompanies the tour, ensuring international guests can participate without worrying about the language barrier.
After the guided walk, enjoy time at your leisure to revisit the streets that moved you.

In the evening, dine at a French restaurant in Kurashiki, where a course inspired by paintings from the Ohara Museum of Art awaits you.

On this premium bus tour, from the moment you arrive on the island until your departure, all transportation within Naoshima is arranged by our private vehicle, YUI PRIMA OLIVIA. With no need to rely on local buses or rental bicycles, you can leave logistical concerns behind and devote your full attention to the art.

With an unhurried, relaxed itinerary, you will visit Naoshima’s landmarks: the Chichu Art Museum, Benesse House Museum, the Naoshima New Museum of Art, and the Art House Project. You’ll have plenty of time at each stop to take in the art, buildings, light, and natural scenery.

Lunch is at your leisure at the Benesse House Museum, allowing you to set your own rhythm between viewing and dining.

In the early evening, travel from Naoshima to Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture. For dinner, savor a teppanyaki experience: a chef grills your steak before your eyes, and you enjoy it amid the aromas, sounds, and immediacy of the live performance.

DAY3

  • 8:00Hotel departure
Ritsurin Garden guided tour (120 min)
Sanuki udon-making experience & lunch (120 min) Shikoku Mura Museum (90 min)

On the last day of your travel, enjoy the Art of Shikoku: explore Ritsurin Garden’s natural masterpiece, Shikoku Mura’s architectural heritage, and a Udon-making experience with a local artisan.

On the final day, savor the ultimate expression of Setouchi’s beauty: “the art of the garden,” where nature and human craft are woven into a living masterpiece.

Your destination is Ritsurin Garden in Takamatsu, Kagawa Prefecture, one of Japan’s finest landscape gardens. Refined over more than a century by successive lords of the Takamatsu Domain since the Edo period, it was nominated a three‑star garden in the Michelin Green Guide Japan 2009. Accompanied by a specialist guide, you will explore its celebrated grounds with deeper insight.

Move gently across the South Lake on a traditional Japanese boat, taking in the pines and mountain  mirrored on the water’s surface, and feeling the garden’s peaceful beauty change as you go.
Then, in a tea house overlooking the garden, enjoy matcha and sweets while enjoying the scenery.

In the morning, visit Shikoku Mura Museum, and step back in time to explore a traditional village setting.
Here, you can also view a scaled-down version of the vine bridge and the Tadao Ando Gallery.

For lunch, enjoy Kagawa’s soul food, Sanuki udon. Under the guidance of skilled artisans, experience the craft of udon‑making, and savor the noodles you prepared.
